Contingency plan

The recovery and degradation of the hydrocarbon is achieved through the deployment of various techniques that, together, make it possible to remedy the affected elements of the environment. The effectiveness of the interventions is monitored periodically throughout the remediation process and after its completion.

In general terms, the contingency plan considers the containment and confinement of the spill, to later develop recovery, cleaning, environmental remediation and final waste disposal actions. At each stage, there is a permanent attention to the water, soil and sediments, as well as the flora and fauna.
